1. Agreement to terms
By creating an account or using CLINKA, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. What CLINKA provides
CLINKA is an online marketplace that helps clients post engineering projects, receive bids from engineers, communicate in project-based chat, fund work through escrow payments, and leave reviews. CLINKA is not a construction company, employer, or licensed engineering firm—we facilitate connections and payments between independent users.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, provide false information, or pose a risk to other users or the platform.
4. Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for posting clear, lawful project scopes and budgets, reviewing bids in good faith, funding agreed work through the platform payment flow, and releasing payment only after reviewing deliverables.
Clients must not use CLINKA to solicit off-platform payments or circumvent platform fees and protections.
5. Engineer responsibilities
Engineers must submit truthful credentials for verification, provide accurate bids, deliver professional work as agreed, and maintain an up-to-date profile and portfolio.
Only engineers with approved verification may bid on projects. CLINKA may approve or reject verification documents at its discretion.
6. Projects, bids, and contracts
When a client accepts a bid, a working relationship is formed directly between the client and the engineer. CLINKA provides tools to manage that relationship but is not a party to the underlying engineering services contract.
Project status, milestones, and deliverables should be agreed in writing within the platform chat. CLINKA is not responsible for disputes about scope, quality, or timelines beyond the escrow and review tools we provide.
7. Payments and escrow
Payments are processed through Paymob. Funds for accepted projects are held in escrow until the client approves release. CLINKA charges a platform commission on transactions as disclosed at checkout.
Chargebacks, failed payments, and refunds are handled according to our payment partner's rules and applicable law. Users must not attempt to move payments off-platform to avoid fees or protections.
8. Messaging and conduct
Project conversations are provided for professional collaboration. Sharing personal contact information to bypass the platform (phone numbers, external emails, social handles, etc.) is prohibited and may result in automatic suspension.
You must not harass, threaten, spam, upload malware, or post unlawful content. We may scan messages and attachments to enforce these rules and keep users safe.
9. Reviews
After a project is completed, clients may leave honest ratings and comments. Reviews must be factual and related to the work performed. We may remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, or unrelated to the project.
10. Prohibited use
You may not use CLINKA for illegal projects, impersonation, credential fraud, scraping or automated abuse, interference with platform security, or any activity that harms other users or CLINKA's operations.
11. Limitation of liability
CLINKA is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for engineering outcomes, construction results, indirect damages, or losses arising from user-to-user dealings. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid to CLINKA in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance. Questions or disputes should first be submitted through the Help Center at /help.
